I went to Ireland

Marfa Sunsets

The lack of buildings in Marfa allows great sunset photo opportunities. I found mine in front of my grandparent’s house. The first I took was this:

I suppose I was too busy discussing Shakespeare to write about it.   But I should tell you about the McDonald Observatory.  It is located in Ft. Davis, TX, about an hour from Marfa.  As it is situated high in the mountains, the astronomers have an unobstructed view of the heavens.

Marfa Day One

Day One (Wednesday) of our Marfa, TX trip involved mostly driving. We did, however, get a few photo opportunities. . .
