Summer Playlist

I am deleting Starbucks songs that I don’t like.  Unfortunatley (or fortunately?), that’s a lot of them.  There are only a few that I really like. I used to look up the songs and listen to them before I bought them, but I got lazy and don’t do that anymore.  Now they’re cluttering my computer.  [...]

Hoorah for High C

Voice class was canceled yesterday.  Sadness.  But I persevered.  Joan, Rachel, Petrina, and I simply hopped-skipped-and-jumped down the stairs to the practice rooms.  By 1:30 Joan and Rachel were in a room and at 1:45 I got into the room next door.  We practiced together and had some good fun singing Italian Ariettas about…trees.  No, [...]

I love the feel of mud between my toes

Yesterday we went to the Fender museum with our homeschool group.  It was cool!  There are, um, lots of guitars.  Because. . .it’s a guitar museum.  There’s this big rack of guitars in the entryway, with a bunch of signatures that I didn’t recognize, hehe.

If you’re thinking that I look incredibly rockstarish, then you’re darn [...]

Let’s see what’s on my iPod.

I got a new iPod for Christmas.  He’s adorable, and his name is Arthur.
Instructions: Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question. NO CHEATING.
How does the world see you?

Hilary Duff

I admit it.  I listen to Hilary Duff CDs.  Yes.  It’s true.  I have three of her CDs and I occassionally listen to them on the computer.  Because I still lurve my tween pop.  What can I say?  They make me smile because they’re so boppy.  They’re a nice escape from the moody angst ridden [...]

Excuse For Not Blogging (with added Coldplay bonus)

I’d like to blog, but I fear it’d be boring. And that would not be good. In the meantime, you can watch this video. It’s cool and catchy and it’s related to the French Revolution, which I adore, in all its bloodily romantic glory.

This is the life

For a fifteen-year-old, how does it feel to have your face plastered on every tween girl’s bedroom walls, school notebooks, and DVD shelves?
Honestly?
Speaking as a girl under the age of 20, I can say that, well, I might enjoy it.  Please don’t take me for egotistical.  I try to be humble, but when you look like [...]

to our love

Today is a depressing day. Not what’s happened today, but looking outside it’s pretty depressing. The sky is a cloudy gray. It rained early this morning, but it hasn’t continued…It leaves just the dark sadness of dull colors and soft wind. I can’t decide if I should water my roses or [...]

Come on, come on, let’s take a chance…

I only recently discovered Eisley, a band made of the DuPree siblings from Tyler, Texas. They have a dreamy, alternative sound to them, which I find very relaxing and sleepy. Really. I like them a lot; I don’t have a CD so I listen to the music videos on YouTube.
For all I [...]
