“Um. . .no. . .I didn’t realize that you could do anything special for Leap Day.”
Just in case you forgot. . .
This year is a leap year! Meaning that there are 29 days in February. Why exactly February only has 28 days normally, and why they couldn’t have just taken the days from a couple 31-day months and made Feb. a 30 day month is beyond me. I suppose it has something to do with the equinox, the harvest. . .etc, etc, etc. But I still wonder.
This extra day also makes way for people (such as my friend Emily) who happened to be born on February 29. Exactly how many jokes can be made about how old they “really” are is unfathomable. But it’s all in good fun. . .right?

I would lie about my birthday had I been born on February 29th. I seriously would just not be able to handle the confusion. I’m bad enough with dates as it is..but I suppose randomly adding an extra day every four years does lead to confusion. 366 days. Oy vey!

correct me if i’m wrong, it takes the earth 365 and a quarter days to complete a revolution. But the quarter is ignored untill it becomes a whole day which is every four years..lmao!
xD

Oh, I know that. . .what I meant was, why is February shorter than all the rest of the months? They could have rearranged some of the days in the year to make February fit in with all the rest.
